192. BetMGM

I have touched on BetMGM previously with regard to their hugely irritating/misleading radio advert and the golden era of sports betting. I hear and see them quite a lot these days and it must be costing them significant sums of money. It’s always interesting when one of the biggest names in the world of Gambling decide to launch a product in the UK.

All I had heard from people was avoid at all costs. Don’t bother. Always really painful KYC procedures.  I always open accounts with these new companies that appear on Oddschecker anyway. No reason not to. BetMGM was no different.

What a refreshing change. Completely unexpected. A credit to the sports betting world. A compelling battle ensued between punter and bookmaker. With their billions behind them should we have expected any less?

Of course that was all complete b*******. They are as pathetic as any of the other companies in this industry. Three losing bets. Tried to place a fun bet on a player to be booked in a TV FA Cup match. The amount allowed was £8.53. Was even referred to a trader to see if anymore allowed. Nope. The bet obviously lost. Four bets. All losers. Down £358.53. Account effectively closed. The only good thing is I didn’t have to provide any documentation for the withdrawal.

This is such standard fare in this industry. We have talked about it so so many times. We wonder why people are having to look at options such as the Black Market….
