| One thing you have to be aware of in this game is all the special offers that bookmakers will use to try and incentivise new players to their site or to keep them. Where it becomes interesting is how that then completely distorts the equivalent markets on Betfair. Skybet had Kane priced up at 1/10 (1.1) to have a shot on target. Now that price feels very short but even if the true price was something like 1/4 (1.25) it is fascinating to see what happens on Betfair. For Kane on Saturday the price was at about 1.48 for significant sums of money. It is because a lot of people are hedging their free bets onto Betfair. It just shows that if you are on the ball you can get some great value bets on the exchanges because of the promotions that the bookies are offering. I cant see the promotion lasting long as it must be costing them fortunes. |
