Something to always be wary of is what the maximum payouts are for each sport at each bookmaker. This is usually most relevant if you are placing bets like accas where the payouts can get pretty big pretty quickly. Either that or you are a big punter!
At Bet365 these limits really vary with the bigger sports like Football having a limit of £2m, Horse Racing £1m, Golf £500k, Cricket £250k etc. Compare that to say Betway. Football having a limit of £500k, Horse Racing £250k, Golf £250k, Cricket £100k etc.
The problem is two fold. Even trying to find the information on their websites isn’t easy, as I can just testify to. The other bigger problem is the number of times bookies will let you place bets that would see winnings bigger than their maximum payouts.
Essentially the bookmaker is freerolling the customer as they know they don’t have to payout more than a certain amount. It should be illegal. They shouldn’t be allowed to accept stakes where the payout is higher than the maximum win.
Also be careful if you throw a few sports in there if doing an acca as they will always choose the sport with the lowest limit. Do not place bets where your winnings are above the maximum payout!
